June 7thThe KSSU-group (KLM, SAS, Swissair, UTA) launches the passenger version of the DC-10-30. The order contains 23 firm ordered aircraft and 12 options. These were also the first non-US orders for the DC-10.
  
June 17thOverseas National Airlines (ONA) orders 3+3 DC-10-30F(CF) and becomes the second costumer for the convertible freighter.
